Mladen Bizumic CV
(b. 1976)
Lives and works Berlin, Germany and Auckland, New Zealand

Mladen Bizumic uses his artist practice as a device to test our perception of reality, especially in relation to different forms of cultural production. Encompassing a range of media from architectural installations to objects and photography to video installation and sound design, Bizumic regularly sabotages the idea of a singular reality, instead displays a number of unfamiliar but equally viable perceptions of it. Often he invites other artists, musicians or even his mother-psychoanalyst to collaborate with him. His work questions the meaning of various cultural structures by systematically exposing the bonds that link individuals, places, and images to produce unforeseen experiential encounters.
